Does anyone know how to customize the message at the bottom of the items "Login to post comments"?

I'd like to insert a module or simply to link to /login / register.

Use a k2 template or override
After you get it working edit item.php in the override directory
in 2.5.4 goto line 658
just before the endif insert your link and or message
