i ve just installed k2 in a fresh joomla 1.7 installation with the default templates
in the item view the star rating does not display correct

You have a some trouble in your template.

This lines is have collisions with k2 template :

#main ul padding
a:hover background

I also think there is some error in theme. Let me know and then i will come back here!!
