I am using joomla 1.7.3 and K2 2.5.3

It appears as though the read more link is not working.
Also, the page break link are not appearing.

When I tested the read more link and the page break links in a regular joomla article there appeared a read more link and then there appeared a "table of contents" where each page break was labeled on the top right side of the article.

Why do you think the page break and read more links are not appearing on my K2 items?

I have the same versions and the same problem. No page break working. Hoping an answer turns up here. A bummer since this is a great feature for a long item (like my Class Descriptions 2012).

Can anyone let me know if this is EVER able to be fixed or it just simply won't work in K2 (this version) so I can stop trying to find an answer here...?

I have no luck trying to solve this. I'm on the latest version of K2 and Joomla 3.0 and Read more and page break don't work!

I'm about ready to uninstall K2 because those are essential features.

Well I searched and searched. Found nothing. So I ended up trying to also use Joomla! articles on our site, and that brought up heaps of new issues. I resumed my search for a solution and FINALLY found
this extension which works. Just go into the plug-in and select yes for K2 items (and also sh404sef if you use that). Now it works. Freaking finally.
