Language pack Dutch OK in Backend but not on Site

I have K2 v 2.5.4 with language pack Dutch installed (on a Joomla 1.7.4 basis)
-files added in administrator/language/nl-NL
-files addes in language/nl-NL

Default language for my site is Dutch

Still I get the English labels in the site. The Backend works fine and shows Dutch language

The language file nl-NL.com_k2.ini is loaded (shows up in debugger)

Can somebody please help me out?
