Move video above author details? was created by Gerard Donnelly
Hi,

Is there any way to embed a video in the actual article or move up the video from below the author details. When I attach a video to my articles it appears right down at the bottom and people aren't even scrolling that far as the author details start to appear and they think they have already go to the bottom. Have a look here:

You should do this by coping the built in k2 overrides from gavick and renaming them and assigning the new override to the k2 category in question.
Edit the item.php in the new file and move the video block of code to display where you choose in the item view.

This might sound stupid but is their documentation anywhere for this? :(

Thanks for your help,

Gerard

Hello.
Can you help me with K2 category template creation.
I am using Gavick template "Finance and Business".
For example now at my site there are two category: "Новости" and "Фотогалерея".
I want to make separate css styles for the first category "Новости".
I tried as was suggested at different forums.
But nothing don`t work.
What I made:
1) I installed plugin CSS4K2.
2) I go to the folder medic.com/www/components/com_k2 / templates - copy it and rename it to my_styles.

3) Next I go to the folder medic.com/www/templates/finance_business/hmtl/com_k2 / templates / the default folder is already here, I insert here new folder my_styles.
4) Inside this folder (my_styles) I create my own style sheet my_styles.css.
5) In the category parametres - there is available to choose template, and I choose my new template my_styles.

It didn`t work.
I`m trying to do this several days, but can`t.
What I`m doing wrong?

Should I rewrite all files in templates/finance_business/hmtl/com_k2 / templates (I mean to rewrite generic.php, profile.php, register.php, user.php by the files from /components/com_k2 / te mplates ) ?

And I tried to do it by adding Page Class Suffix, but I don`t know it , can anybody help me.
I have tried both methods (with plugin CSS4K2 and with PageClassSuffix) -but nothing reult.

I make a video what I do all my steps. If it not difficult for you to watch this video.
