I want the menu item to take me to the category page and I want to display the 6 items in that category in 2 columns, please excuse me but I cant seem to location the option to do this can someone please direct me?

Hi rick,

You can set this at the Category -> Category Item Layout -> Layout Grid

Leading count - 6
Columns for leading - 2
