Hi All

I am using Sh404sef and k2 on a several news sites and need to be able to add a Unique ID on K2 Items like the a number and the date.

Has anyone found a good hack, or is there something in the planning? Surely must be an essential thing to create the ultimate news portal?

Loads of template providers are producing magazine type/news joomla templates with k2 and no one seems to have addressed this. Unique numbers on k2 item urls, with the power or K2 system would push it even further in my view anyway and make me almost virtually drop the original content system ;-)

Just need to see if anyone out there has any thoughts

Surely someone has a comment on this issue?

Found a post on the old K2 forum about a hack that adds the Id of the item in the url but not the date.
Also that was for an older version of K2.

If Joomlaworks are lstening, can you let me know if this is in the plan?
Surely you and AnythingDigital can get together and make this happen, think it it would benefit the whole component massively.

UPDATE: There have been no answers, disappointing but as you can see the thread has gained a lot of views so it must be a popular question.
The words Flog, Dead and Horse are coming into mind at the minite ;-(

Has anyone got any comments on implementing this?

May have to go back to joomla core sef, not ideal though
