How do you make news feeds work behind logon?

I have tested news feeds from K2 category pages. Works fine if the page is not behind logon, but behind logon I get error 404 “the address does not exist on this server”. I can suppose that the error comes about because the feed reader can not log on. But how do one get it to work?
