Can anyone point me towards a good tutorial on how to create a members only area using K2 and joomla 1.7/2.5?

Not sure if I have seen a specific tutorial on this but...
When you create a new category, you need to set the access level to Registered. Then members of the site will see the category but the general public will not. It reads the Joomla default access levels to do this but you can add more in the USERS dropdown menu in Joomla if you need to.
So that takes care of the problem of denying access to the general public... you need to then create menu items to those new member only categories (or modules). Just make sure they have the same access as what you assigned to the members only categories.

Hi I am interested with this too, could you tell the steps to do it? please, becuase I think I did something wrong, because on my private area, when you try to login the visitors receive a 403 error page.
Please could you tell me what I am doing wrong???
