international characters in attachment filename was created by dwm
Hi,
On my website registered users can upload files to his own articles (attachments). Whey use many spaces and international characters in filenames. Uploaded fileneme looks not so good because characters like ś are changed to AE. What should I do to change this? I need international chars to be changed like tile alias:
Á|A, Â|A, Å|A, Ă|A, Ä|A, À|A, Ã|A, Ć|C, Ç|C, Č|C, Ď|D ... etc
Is it my server or K2 coding problem ?
Can anybody help me ? It is really important for me.
K2 2.5.4, J 2.5.1

Aliases are in K2 Options. Try to add missing ones.

This will sound revolutionary...but how about setting some rules for file uploads to your users?
Instead of trying to fix what they mess up, inform them what they should do if they want their articles/uploads to display correctly...
Making them responsible to uphold some standards is the best way to go, I believe...
- solves the problem you describe
- fairly shifts the load of responsibility to them
