Searching Category Names was created by Erkin
Hi. I'm writing my contents as k2 category descriptions in my website. So I'm not using k2 items. I want to add a search page for my category names, but normally k2 search plugin is searching only for items, not for category names. Is there a plugin for my problem? (I'm using joomla 2.5 and newest version of K2)

No reply, maybe I didn’t explain well. I want to use K2 as a catalog extension. But K2 don't search for category names.
Maybe is there a way for adding tags for category or an other way for searching category names.

So it's impossible to search in category names ? not in items... For example, if you have see structure :
-Cars
----BMW
----Ford
----WhatEver
Is there a way to use a search form so if a user search "cars" it get all the categories above ?

Thank you for the reply but no it's not what I need. I need to do it in the search system of K2 direcly. For exemple, If you try to find something in the K2 search, that it can search in the cetagories names and show them like it does for the items names...

Im not up on the new search, but just wondering, have you tried putting the search term in the category desc to test and see if it would find it that way
