I have almost the same problem like Ferdi Özdamar in an archived post in community.getk2.org/forum/topics/cant-create-new-category?commentId=3536014%3AComment%3A47717

When i try to save a new category or a modified one there is a message pop up that the category must have a title, although there is a title already, and I can't save or modify categories. There are only the imported ones from the joomla component. Articles and everything else works ok.

The solution in the aforementioned post for the mbstring() activation in php can't fit because the mbstring() is already on in my hosting.

Is there any idea or suggestion where to look?
