All attachments being renamed to .txt

All attachments being renamed to .txt was created by spindoc99
no matter what file I upload they get renamed with a .txt at the end.

I looked up and found where dangerous script filenames are renamed, but it appear that ALL filenames are being renamed. How do I get around this?

I'm using Joomla 2.5 and K2 2.5
