I have a K2 category setup as a blog. In the right column 'category item layout' settings, the item ordering option is set to 'most recent first'. I have a collection of items created in this category. I have gone in and set the creation date and start publishing date to the dates I want each item to appear. Note - this order is not necessarily the order in which they were initially created.

The problem occurs when the items go live and are displayed in the blog. At this point, they are being displayed in the order in which they were originally created - not according to the specified "creation date" or "start publishing" dates.

What am I missing here?

:S That is driving me insane too!
- No any Category Ordering works
- Impossible to override the ordering by ID
- Chaotic naming "Date created>Creation date>Date creation"

It was sadly buggy before* also but I am afraid that upgrading Joomla from 1.7.2 >2.5.1>2.5.2>2.5.3 confused everything with the database and K2

*the only way was worked - putting the same publishing date to the item as the creation date and choosing "Most recent first (by date published)" at Other layout options>Item ordering
