Hi,
I was hoping that this new update bring us happiness by eliminating the "Item ordering Issue" but it is still buggy. :( Some weeks ago it was working well but now with much more articles (items) the only way for ordering is by descending ID. Even I set it by Title or by Most recent first (published date).

K2 > Categories > Edit Category > Category Item Layout > Item ordering

Any Idea?

I'm using K2 2.5.5 and in settings
K2 > Categories > Edit Category > Category Item Layout > Item ordering I have Most recent first (by date created), and item order in that category can be adjusted by updating created date field on each item. Having in mind that most recent items will be most top. You can even change order by clicking on little blue arrows on Items page.

Once I alter order in way I see fit, for some reason I hit "diskette" icon, maybe this step is not necessary but I'm kind of used do it. For me this logic works as expected for now.

No matter what I set my Item Ordering to nothing happens!?!

Big problem for me...
Spent all this time making the site & now a very important features isn't working.
Bummer!

Mind you the Tag ordering works !

Going to have to have a look inside.

OK. I got it.

Basically go to the category menu title you made.
And under Basic Options > Layout options for single category selection
Make sure it's set to Inherit from category.

Then you can set your Item Ordering in the categories as you like.

You just have to remember not to touch that one when making Menu Items in order to be able
to use the Item Ordering in the Category > Other Layout Options.

Hope it works for you. It did for me.
