2 different Itemforms was created by Auke
Hi,
I'm creating this (Design)Tutorial site where users are able to submit their own tutorial(s) using the K2 'Add Item'.
All is working fine but now I'm trying to get things more advanced..
I want to have 2 seperate ways of submitting:
'Submit External URL' and 'Submit Full Article'
(see: www.tutbase.com/submit )
Could anyone explain to me how I can link
'/templates/MY_TEMPLATE/html/com_k2/templates/default/itemform2.php'
to a pop-up window like this:
<a class="modal" rel="{handler:'iframe',size:{x:990,y:550}}" href="/component/k2/item/add?tmpl=component">
(It's like the 'Add Item' pop up)
Because '/component/k2/item/add?tmpl=component' is always linking to itemform.php.
I'd like to have 2 links where one links to itemform2.php
Regards,
Auke

What you want may be possible, but i bet it cannot eaisly be done without hacking the core. I would instead try to edit the current form to have a tick box like i saw today on eyeglasses site.
when you tick the box another form field entry displayed, i assume it could be either or

I need to do the same kind of things and I think that the best way is to create a form with ChronoForm or any other form system for joomla and add the content in the K2 database...
If somebody know something else ? BEST if somebody know how to do it without this modal box !

@William: If you, or anyone who know how to, could explain me how to hack the core the right way I would be very grateful.
What do you suggest? And what 'eyeglasses site' do you mean? Could you provide me a link to that site?
And I think you've hit 'Submit' without completing your story. What did you want to say?
@Mushr00m: Yeah, that's an great alternative. If Chronoforms could be integrated with K2 our problem would be solved. I've never used Chronoforms before.. Does it have a function that only registered (K2)users can use it? Than I could set the submitted forms manually to users (if displayed which users submitted the form)

eyebuydirect.com
pick mens glasses, pick a frame, select lens,
now look on the row with Pupillary Distance
there is a tick box for two numbers and it changes the form
