Searching for answers for some months. There is a lot of discussion about heavy 2.5 mysql queries online and at Joomla forum.
People have it difficult to get 2.5 fast as Joomla 1.5. No cache, header expires and etc help, because problem is with queries.
I did some troubleshooting and get to conclusion that is only K2 making such difference between pageload in 1.5 and 2.5 Joomla.
(for instance, right menu with Menu Items linking to K2 categories and no additional modules, except two K2 modules)
They have some fix for mysql database for slow queries, regarding Joomla native Categories and native articles.
Could you please just check if K2 needs something like this fix, something similar.
No matter what i do, i cant make K2 fast as it was rocket fast in Joomla 1.5.
