I'm new to K2 and just doing some tests.
I made an item and want to add an image to it.
I go to the image tab and want to upload an image.
Atfter doing this, there is nog image in the item and also not under the image tab in the backend.
When I place a youtybe movie, it works perfect.
Anyone knows what to do?

The same story goes for the Simple Image Gallery Pro.
When I want to add a gallerie (zip-file), I will get a blanc page and nothing happens.
I cannot even edit this item anymore (blanc page) and I have to delete it before I can go any further.... :(

As a total newbe to K2 I'm a little disappointed about the enormous amount of reactions I get (NOT).
I Guess I have to skip K2 and go to search for another (better) component.

If you are getting a blank page you should set error reporting to highest and see if it will indicate the error

But no report is vissible when I try to place an image.
The gallery is not important right now but just a simple image would be great.
I can't figure out what the problem is :-(

Sorry, my K2 version is 2.5.4 with Joomla 2.5.4

check your k2 information tab and be sure mb_encoding is set on for your server

I can't find mb_encoding in the K2 information tab and also not in the php ini file

Or did you mean Multibyte string support?
In that case: it is enabled

But is was enabled all the time and still no image.
When I try to upload an image from the image tab, the browser takes 5 seconds and the item is saved.
When I go back to the image tab, no image is shown even so in the front-end

I think it is not a server-side problem, bacuase I can place an image for the category, but not for items.
