You have to edit the category-item.php file.
All the elements you need are there, there is no need to query the db,
in face the only PHP stuff you need is the id of the current item.
Now at this point all you need to do is insert a link to the div containing the video.
Once the again category-item.php already has a video block so all you need to do is give it an id using the same logic as we used on the link.
Finally you need to do two things.
a) Include all required css and js files that fancybox needs in your template.
b) Use the css classes and the js script fancybox uses in its documentation.
c) You might need to hide with css the video block so it wont be constantly open and visible.
