The main menu exists and contains buttons but none of the button link anywhere except HOME page. Each main menu link is assigned to an existing category, and each category has an assigned Item but none of the main menu navigation buttons link or load an ITEM.

Is there help or a video or written instructions how to link the main menu buttons to an Item?

When you first created the menu nav link, as a menu type to link to, did you choose "item", "category", "single article" or something else? And then did you click the other area and actually select the item/category/whatever you wanted to link to?
