This has taken me hours with still no fix. Someone please tell me exactly how to change the txt saying in the picture.


The only document i seem to see this txt in is, "/template/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_k2.ini"
So why does all the help i`ve been reading about reffer people to "components/com_k2/templates/default/item.php and the icons are specified in the k2.css" and the item.php file for k2.

Please help show me how i can change this txt i want it to say Social Share.

i faced the same problem in userExtendedFields and i solved this problem by adjust xml

Thanx alot for replying man but which XML file is that exactly? if u can paste the path to the file here that would be abit more helpfull, My site is live and it`s embarrassing having this on, pliz help me out with the specific XML file name and location man. Yes it`s a K2 plugin am running K2 v2.5.1 with joomla installation (Joomla v1.7) with this template from Gavik(demo.gavick.com/joomla16/jul2011/), and no i did not (adjust on all language files with no change ?) i don`t know how to do that how can i do that.

i noticed this inside the language file of my site. Do u think this has something to do with it?

it has the txt that i want to change. K2_SOCIAL_SHARING

any modules or plug in u install it will directly goes to public_html/administrator/language for backend

and /public_html/language/ for frentend

Okey i have checked and seen these folders with all their file contents and the .XML files as well, but what am i supposed to do now?? ;)

I have finally managed t fix this thanx for the hint but because i have suffered alot to fix this i will go ahead and, be abit more detailed as on how i got this fixed for the sake of others that may get the same problem.

There are two en-GB.com_k2.ini files located in two different locations.
1.:- /public_html/websitesite.com/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_k2.ini
This one has the txt in i.t K2_SOCIAL_SHARING="Social sharing"
2:.- /public_html/websitesite.com/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_k2.ini
This one does`nt so paste the txt in here as well and it will Display as required e.g K2_SOCIAL_SHARING="Social sharing", it`s as simple as that!!!. :P
