I have a strange problem with the category images of K2, it happens with all categories.

I tried to remove a category image and upload a new one, but the old one always stays there. Even after deleting the image first using the tick under the image clicking on save and uploading the new image after does not change this behaviour. I cleared the cache and tried it by using an image from the server or a new upload from my hard drive, always the same.

I am using Joomla 2.5.4 and K2 v2.5.4, does anyone have an idea how to solve this issue? I checked the forum but did not find an answer.
