I have created a 'front page' for my articles that uses the same layout as demo.getk2.org/categories.

But I don't seem to be able to get it to show just a snippet of the article beneath the image.

What am I missing?

Hi. I don't get exactly what's the issue, but you need to take a look at K2 category settings. You will find a lot of options fow showing/hiding elements.

What I meant was that if you look at the K2 main page, you'll see each article has an image and then some introtext of about 40-100 words each. My site on the other hand shows the full articles unless I insert Read More breaks while writing the articles.

But I need to limit the introtext to about 40 words on the main page by default. This is because I'm allowing my site's users to submit articles and I cannot rely on them to use the Read More option.

The only instance I could find in Parameters of limiting the number of words was for RSS feeds.

But I need it to be automated for the main page.

How can I achieve this?

Hi. This setting is located in category edit page under "Item view options in category listings".

That's what I thought and I set it to 40 words, but nothing happened. It still shows the full article.
