I've been trying to build a website based on K2 so I can make the most of the features of this famous CKK. However, I haven't been able to make a front page the way I want and I am starting to believe that I am doing something wrong.

I want my front page to show the latest added items as Joomla would but making use of the Item Image that K2 offers.

The issue is that if I base my front page on a menu item as K2 -> Categories, the modules I add to the front page are always shown on the item pages (once I open an article). I want my frontpage to look different from my item page so I am assuming that I am using the wrong Menu Item.

Would you guy be able to help me with this?

Hi. Since you click an item from the frontpage it will inherit the frontpage itemid. This will NOT happen if:

1. You create a menu link to this item.
2. You create a menu link to the item category.

That is it!
