One ordering for different sub-categories was created by Nico Eshuis
Hi,

We have a website with products that are added in two sub-categories of the main product-category. That entails an ordering per sub-category. However, on our front-end page we have a general product overview that includes displaying the products from child categories as well. Now, we want full control over the ordering of these products regardless of their sub-category but many items have the same order number. A thing that is bothering us in this regard is the forcing of ordering numbers by K2

Is it possible to

1. Get one ordering for all items in a main category?

or

2. Disable the forcing of category numbers, so we can do this manually?

Many thanks in advance!

Nico

You can mark the items in the sub categories as featured, and in the item ordering of the main category select : Featured First

Thanks, this is not exactly what we're looking. Guess we'll have to do it with double ordering numbers
