I think what he might be saying is he can't see how to Frontend edit on the pre-release. Certainly thats the case for me. Just cannot see an edit link anywhere in front end.

Hi. You have to first create a K2 usergroup with the appropriate permissions. After that, assign the K2 user to the specific group. Then after you login, in the item view you will see an "edit item" link. Note that this link is only for editing. The link for adding items is provided by the K2 login module, so ensure that it is published.

Thanks - now that works.
But it throws up some other questions - if I may.
I hadn't appreciated that you have created an ACL within K2, this is great, but it throws up some issues too.
1) My first question was whether I had to use the K2 login module. But I used the CB login and it works fine, so I wonder if there is anything I am missing in K2 by using CB Login as CB is essential to me?
2) The K2 ACL is great for applying more granular control. But I have one site that has around 60 editors, and they change. I would like to assign they certain rights in K2 but not have to keep managing users in K2. Is there way to match/assign a K2 group to a standard Joomla group so that I do not need to keep adding users in K2.
PS: K2 is sensational out of the box - well done - can't wait for the full stable version.

Regarding your questions:
1) The K2 login module (if you are logged in) provides you some info about the user, a link to user items and the "add item" link. It performs a normal Joomla! login so you can even use the core joomla login module but you will not have these links.
2) No, you can't assign a Joomla! user group to a K2 user group.
