The "Item Introtext word limit" field can be filled and is correctly saved into the database but I can't make it work.
I cannot see any differences in the frontend whether it's filled or not.
For example, I try to put a word limit of 30 words but when I display the category and its related items on the frontpage OR in the K2 content module, all the words of the introtexts of the items are fully displayed :(
The word limit doesn't seem to work.

Is it a bug or am I missing something ?

Thanks for K2 - really great component.
I have small problem with introtext word limit in "Item view options in category listings" in Category Editor. It seems it does not work :(
I am using Joomla 1.5.14 with K2 v. 2.0
Has anyone got solution, or maybe there is some workaround for that?

Problem solved! I updated K2 to it's latest compilation 090909, and it works just great!
No more problem with introtext word limit.

Hi. Please make sure that you have setup correctly your parameters. Also note that word limit applies when you are viewing items from one category not multiple.

I think I set up everything properly, I had it working on another site and I copied the parameters from there, any specific parameter I should be vary of.

I am viewing one category through a menu choice

Ok, it works now, I created a new category and then it worked when I moved my items to the new category

Well this is almost a year old and as I wrote in the previous post the problem disappeared when I simply deleted the category and created a new one, I think something in the database got corrupted or something

Are you talking about a multiple category listing because I don't think that works for anyone?

Ah, sorry, no I don't use multiple listings on my site.

You're right that it makes no sense for K2 ignoring that parameter when listing multiples and if that was a bug I would hope that would have been sorted by now.
