It would be beneficial to me if I could have a category listing that only displayed items that contained a SIG gallery for example, or display by selected plugin.
this would mean I could get rid of my other gallery component (phoca) and have K2 in its place...
this would be fantastic for events galleries.

Whether this is possible or not I don't know. :/

Couldn't you create a category for those items or give them a tag like "gallery" and then use the category or tag view?
