Joomla Search, does not search in K2 Items :(

Joomla Search, does not search in K2 Items :( was created by Vassilis

Hi all!
I had create a web site for a partner in Joomla and i use the faboulus K2 Compo (latest version).
I realize today that the Search module of Joomla does not search inside K2 Items at all!
Is there any solution for this?
I have not find anynthig inside this forum fo now.

I hope for quick respnose ;)

Me again, i just find out that and in other one site i have with the K2 plugin enabled crrectly, it doesn't serach at all inside K2 items.
The DB collation is UTF8_general_ci and the lang in the first site is Greek and at the secong Greek Italian.

I would love some help!! :)

Anyone? Still have the problem. I have reinstall K2 and again i ave the same problem. No Results at all :(

And sorry to post again but i find out that it does not search GREEK at all at all of my web sites.

www.hydroscopio.gr
and many more. The collation is correct tha plugin enabled but no results at all...
I use the latest version 2.1

Hi. K2 search plugin is working the same way content search plugin does. Please try to enable debugging and see the queries. Also note that the query has been changed for the next release of K2 so it supports MySQL Full-Text functions for searching.

You can go now on site please?
And try search for example for the word Ελπίζουμε that is surely include to K2 Items.
And see the debug. It's very big but i don't think there are errors on it.

Hi again. K2 search plugin searches only on site's default language. If you have translated content through JoomFish! you should also have an extra search plugin ( as you have "Search - Jfcontent" for com_content ). This is the way that com_search works.

I have same problem. K2 search plugin is activated but when I try to find some specific word from K2 Item Content resultat is zero! When I search some K2 Item title, then works fine. Problem is in K2 Item Content search. It can't be found.

I have sh404Sef component installed on this site, but when I turn it off the problem still persist.

I have a related problem but not quite the same ...

Joomla search is returning K2 items but not extracting any snippets (with the highlighted keyword) from extra fields? It works fine with normal content in K2 items but nothing in the extra fields tab is being pulled out and displayed?

It is obviously finding a hit ... just not bring back the snippet

I have enable K2 search plugin & it works.
1) You have to enable search plug in .
2) I will suggest you to check "Google search integration" is NO . Check it in K2 Parameter - Advance setting
If this is set to yes then your K2 search will be off even you have enable in plugin manager.

imamo isti problem kao ti trenutno. Da li si resio na kraju i kako? Kad ukucam rec koje je u okviru teksta ne prikazuje u rezultatima. Znam da je ovaj post star 2,5 godine ali nadam se da ces uspeti da mi pomognes :)
