How to edit social bookmarks buttons? was created by Enrico Ardito
Hi,

I just like to have facebook and digg buttons in the 'social sharing' field. How can I choose which buttons to appear in items' pages?
Also, I'd like to have the twitter button next to the other social bookmarks' buttons. How to do it?

Thanks.

you ever find a solution to this? I'd like to add this button code but have it at the bottom of the article not the top where K2 puts it when I use the default "social button" code box

The only solution is to hack core files of K2.
Hopefully there'll be an option in the backend in future releases.

Hack core files?????? Dont need. Just edit your desired template to move the default "social button" wherever you want.

Didn't solve your issues?? Why dont you consider hire me? Email me or contact me www.xevedigital.com for details

That's what I meant by 'core file'.
com_k2\templates\default\item.php is a core file, isn't it?

ohh well. Anyway, template files are not core files (at least for me).

Could anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this? I would like to add the "add to any" button down by the rest of the social buttons or even replace them with the one "add to any button"

No need to hack any corefiles. You just make your own template.

In /components/com_k2/templates/ you make a copy of the default folder and call it whatever you want - MyTemplate will work.

So you now have /components/com_k2/templates/MyTemplate with a bunch of files inside. One of them is item.php . You can edit this file however you need. The in the category settings for the category of your article you change the template from default to MyTemplate. This will make sure your new template is not deleted when a new version is installed.
