I want to use K2 as a directory of individuals AND an archive of fiddle tunes with file attachments. I generally don't want either of these to be presented as a blog.

For the individuals directory, I want to present a category of folks with sub categories. When you're looking at a category, items are listed like Joomla's category list view where you can click at the top of the table to sort items by title, state, instrument, etc. For the fiddle tunes, I want to be able to sort by key, genre, etc.

Am I missing something? It looks like the only way to show K2 items is blog style. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Does K2 offer a table-based category list view? Or only blog format?

If you just want a basic list of K2 items, you could configure the K2 category to only display item title on 1 column...

Hello,

Without some custom templating work K2 does not offer an option for table-based category view. You can however create a custom template for your K2 Category which would display your list of K2 Items in a table format. It is not difficult to do, but it does require a bit of HTML/PHP knowledge.

The general idea is that you create the initial < table > tag, then have a "foreach" php loop through all your items and display them in the < tr >< td > format, then finally close the table with the</ table > tag.
