Problem adding articles frontend was created by Adam Altmejd
Hi,
Users on my site get a 500 error when trying to add new content frontend through the K2 Login module. The box opens but the iframe shows a 500. I am using a theme by Rockettheme which i have modified somewhat.
The link to the add-new-item-popup (that doesnt work) is:
index.php?option=com_k2&lang=sv&task=add&tmpl=component&view=item
When editing an already existing item (link: index.php?option=com_k2&cid=39&lang=sv&task=edit&tmpl=component&view=item) everything works fine. It's when you change task=edit to task=add that the server breaks.
I am using JCE Editor and sh404SEF, but i dont think these components have anything to do with it since disabling the editor doesnt make any difference and the url hasn't been rewritten.
Anyone else experiencing these issues?

Hi. Please make sure that you are using the latest version and that you have set the appropriate permissions for adding an item.

I am having the same problem. I have double check the permissions and they are fine. Any other thoughts?

Hi. Try to increase PHP's memory_limit.

I have the same problem on a new install. Rockettheme Gantry template and version 2.2 of K2. I can add from the back end, I can edit from front and back end. I CANNOT add a new item from the front end... lightbox pops up and it says server error.

I just figured out that there was a conflict with the RokCandy system plugin and the K2 Add New Article from the front end. Try disabling all of the Rocketheme system extensions and then try front end adding and see if that works. If so, add the Rocketheme plugins back in one at a time to determine which one is in conflict.
