Fighting SPAM was created by Ivo Apostolov
Does anyone know a smarter solution than re-captcha for fighting the SPAM in the comments?
If anyone has made integrations with Moovum or Askiment, it will be great.

Also probably recording the IP address of the commenter would be great

Yeah, I would be interested in this as well. I have enabled recaptcha and I am still getting spam comments on my blog.

Are these automated spam posts, or are they real people putting spam up? Probably not any way to tell I guess...

I had issues with automated spam. With re-captcha it ended, however re-captcha is very human unfriendly.

Ivo, does your recaptcha display when users are signed in? For me it says "Enter the two words you see below" but then the recaptcha does not display. It works perfectly for unregistered/not-signed-in users. So frustrating..

I don't have registrations on my site (blocked). But it appears for both logged and guests in general.
I am thinking of developing an akismet plugin, but still don't have the time to.

Doesn't make any sense. I didn't make any changes to the captcha part of K2

No idea at all. I am currently trying to integrate Mollom in K2, however it appears to not be that easy.
