I know this will be more tricky. But for the organization within the file system it would be great to have the attachments being grouped according to the respective item category or at least somehow.

The problem is with a huge number of attachments you get duplicate names which you can prevent having directories. Personally I don't want K2 to become a download management system but its just to nice having PDF's or other documents attached to the items.

The most easy idea I have is to allow defining directories by the admin and then select one of those while uploading the files.

I am looking for the same i need it for my work but seems there is no need from K2 users for that and that is why there is no response.
