Apparently a determining factor is whether you have BEGUN with K2 or if you're migrating AN EXISTING SITE to K2.
If you're migrating, seems that you have to:
(1) import all sections/categories/articles into K2
(2) copy existing menus
(3) change the menu copies to K2-based menus pointing to K2-based sections/categories/items
(5) delete original menus
(6) delete original sections/categories/articles
(7) use appropriate extensions/components/modules/plugins to retool frontpage
Can one of the experts please verify this methodology? Thanks!

Hi,
This didn't work me.
I started first with a blank layout and begun in K2. While everything worked, I couldn't populate my Frontpage.
I then started to create categories and articles in Joomla and then migrated to K2.
While the articles got added to K2, the Frontpage remained on its own in Joomla, unconnected from K2.
Any developers here to help?
