Maybe I am overlooking something (will check the parameters for plugins, etc...), but I am taking K2 for a test drive and although content is stored outside of com_content and Joomla, I am really digging the component.

...then I noticed that more than 50K is js and css files are being loaded on every single page (e.g., homepage, unrelated pages with no k2 content), not just on pages with K2-related stuff.

The squeeze box script showing up in the source code on the homepage is one thing, but then I checked the sizes of all the K2 being loaded on there as well and that raised a flag....

Am I missing something? if I am going to add 50K to the homepage and each and every page, I might as well stop being lazy and just style the core content and do a few custom modules that only call up their js on the pages using them. ;)

As powerful and well done as K2 seems to be, surely it's me...tell me it's me. ;)
