We have run into a problem with K2. We have a very large web site with lots of pages that are very long in content. Now we are trying to move into using K2, but in standard Joomla jos_content introtext and fulltext fields are mysql MEDIUMTEXT fields (16,777,215 bytes) but in K2 both jos_k2_items introtext and fulltext are just TEXT fields (65,535 bytes).

We have tried increasing the size of the fields in jos_k2_items but though this seems to work just fine in the admin interface, and we can make entries and edit just fine. The front end display on the Joomla site does not work with the larger field sizes. I expect this could have something to do with variable typing in the php code, but this is just a guess.

My question is, can anyone confirm this problem and I wonder if anyone has any suggestions on how I can get this to work.
