how to force the template to use was created by julien moirenc
Hi everybody,

I'm a french web developper who uses K2 for the first time.

I first have to say that i think this component is awesone, far better than any joomla component i had never used. Great job joomlaworks !

Here is my problem : I would like to choose the template to use to show an item. I know it's easy by choosing the template to use for a categorie but how to do that if you need to show an item in 2 different ways ??

in my case, i need to show an item that 'modelize' (<- don't know if the term is correct) a company.
- on the first view i want to show its name, location, zip code, city, description,
- on the second view, i just want to show it on a google map

Is there a way to do that without hacking the k2 component ?? by passing a parameter thrue the url or something like that ? or not ?

Thank by advance,
kind regards,
Julien MOIRENC.

Ok, i did it myself by passing an additional get parameter and dealing with it in my template file.
