I have duplicated the default folder and renamed it (/templates/YOURJOOMLATEMPLATE/html/com_k2/templates/Editorial) and now I would like to style the new template. Can anyone tell me where the CSS file is? Or should I create a new one?

Your post is old but just for the record, you could style the CSS of any module with the "Module Class suffix" and use that as a suffix in your classes. For example ad news as suffix and your module DIV will have this class div class="moduletablenews".
