I want to allow my administrator to add items on the front-end, but I don't want to use the K2 login module. Also, there really are only a handful of users who have permission to add items, so I don't want the link to be visible to everyone.

I disabled all the category titles and descriptions on the different pages, so there is no 'add new item in this category' link available. Can I somehow enable to that to appear but NOT have the category title block? By pasting some code into the category template maybe? If so, what do I paste?

How would you handle this?

I tried just copying the link to add a new item (www.mysite.com/component/k2/item/add?tmpl=component) so my administrator can make herself a shortcut ... but it doesn't open in the pop-up - it opens in a new window, which is kind of annoying. Might as well just use the backend.

Ideas? Can I somehow get the 'add new item' link to appear somewhere on my website but ONLY to my administrator (who has proper K2 permission already)? Complicated, I know. :P
