I had to uninstall the previous K2 installation, few months later when i tried to install the latest build of K2_v2.1 build20090909 but to no avail.

I always get this error saying

-1 - An error has occurred.
It was not possible to copy the selected file.

I am currently hosting the site with TCH

K2_v2.1 build20090909 is good to go and installs without issue as I just verified this..
Have you downloaded direct from this site or from your backup?
Which version of Joomla are you using?

Yes, i had no problem on new installation on another host with the same package. I downloaded direct from K2 website's download links. I am using Joomla 1.5.15 which was installed using Fantastico.

if you were able to use it before, but not since changing host company, maybe there is some restriction by them, could be worth asking them to check it for you.

I've the same problem with a fresh installation. Is it a error message from k2 or from joomla? My joomla is in french and the error message is in french... so i suppose it's a joomla error message, i suppose the problem is with the joomla configuration... but i don't know where.

OK, which Joomla version are you using.
Are you installing on local machine or server.
Do you have screen shots showing the error
Have you tried using the K2_v2.2

I've changed my host to a better one :D. K2 works like a charm now!!
