Current version 2.2 build 20100103

I have set the parameters to allow only registered users to post comments. The Registered user group has the privilege to post comments on all categories and this is working fine. I have created a new User Group to allow a group of users to have privileges to add items to a specific Category. This group has all privileges in that category, including adding comments, but now they can only add comments in that category. I would like them to be able to post comments in all Categories as a registered user can, since they are registered users. Is there a way to allow the default privileges for a Registered user to be honored even though they are in a different group?
