I'm searching around, but not finding any guides for making a K2 plugin.
I'm not finding anything on it in the admin section either, yet there are fields in the item templates like this:
EDIT: The tags were treated as HTML and therefore ignored. Let's try again... This time, pretend those square brackets are angle brackets.

Was this just planning ahead for plugins, or is there a way to safely combine plugins with the k2 system?
