I'm looking for advice from users experienced with building nested category lists. Have you found an optimal limit to how many categories can be nested together? What are the consequences of a category list that contains multiple nested categories?

Has anyone found best practices for linking to nested category lists to ensure that the desired category list displays, rather than the entire nested category list structure, including other sibling category lists nested under the parent category list?

I'd appreciate hearing advice from others who've discovered what works best for them for how deep nested category lists should go.
