Hi,

I am experiencing some difficulties rewriting urls with
accents for K2 using SEF Advanced. Can you please help me (site has over 38.000 K2 articles that need url rewriting !), here is the problem :

Typing this url in a browser :

www.quiveutsortir.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=10471:sorties-théâtre-brest&Itemid=102

I get the article correctly eventhough the url has been somehow rewritten to :

index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=10471:sorties-th%C3%A9%C3%A2tre-brest&Itemid=102.

(Note Bene : é and â have been replaced by : %C3%A9%C3%A2 in the final url after the page is finished !

I create this url in SEF Advanced and rewrite it to :
sorties-théâtre-brest (Nota Bene : notice the accents)

IT BRINGS ME AN ERROR IN THE SEF ADVANCED LOG :

sorties-th%C3%A9%C3%A2tre-brest/   2010-01-20 01:54:04       My IP   Direct request

IT ONLY HAPPENS WITH URLS REWRITTEN WITH ACCENTS : Urls with
no accent are correctly rerouted.

Exemple : www.quiveutsortir.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=4337:sortir-paris&Itemid=102

And SEF url : www.quiveutsortir.com/sortir-paris HELP BADLY NEEDED ! Thanks...

Hi. Try to disable SEF Advanced and use the Joomla's SEF functionality. Unfortunately we haven't test yet the compatibility of K2 with this extension. Also you can try to use Unicode Slugs SEF plugin. K2 will recognize this plugin and it will handle the alias of the items.

Hi, what about searching by multi-word tags?

In my URL there are empty spaces which give URL like this: www.site.pl/component/k2/itemlist/tag/word1%20word2%20word3.html

I found this post but it doesn't solve my problem:
