I'm creating a book catalog, I'm interning and this is the first time I've used K2 for a project. The items have authors but they won't necessarily be the "authors" of the articles.

 

I'm sure I'll have to create a set of templates specific to the catalog by copying the default templates but how would I relate an extended field such as "author", with possibly several names in it. Or is it easier just to create a user and set them to the author in K2.

 

Or is there a way to extend the field types to include a sql query so I could select multiple users from a field list.

you can't assign item to multiple category
you can't assign item to multiple users/autors
you CAN assign some multiple custom fields to item, but without such easy filtering options
you CAN assign multiple tags to item with, well, some, filtering options?
