If extra fields were added to user if would knock all those community builders out.

Totally agree. The user/author part needs more details. Custom fields sounds great.

Theoretically, it does seem possible, how to do it, is out of my comfort zone ;)

I am looking at using K2 on a project for the first time. I too would like to add additional fields to user profiles. I am wondering if K2 & Community Builder will work well together. Can you use one login for both & have your Community Builder profile show up on your K2 articles?

I would love to do this as well. The combination of K2's article handling and Community Builder's registration and interaction would be a killer Joomla app! I currently have both installed but it looks like I'll have to decide which one to keep since I can't find a seamless way to integrate them.

Hi,
Just discovered K2 from a google search, and am impressed after an initial install on my localhost, but had immediately assumed that Extra Fields were like Community Builder fields. Alas took me 20 mins to discover they are related to Items, and a further search to find this post.
So, I agree - if K2's extra fields could be attached to Users I would move from Community Builder... Alas, I'll give the Portugese solution a miss.
best
John
