Joomfish is not really compatible with K2. (if its is, then please do tell me how)
Are there any other language translation options i can use with K2?

Joomfish it's compatible with K2, you have just to install joomfish before K2. Or if K2 was installed before, you have to install joomfish and after K2 again (without installing the previous version) like if you do an update (it works great for me).
