Hi :-)
At
www.bryllup.dk we're in the process of migrating to K2 and we're getting quite excited about the performance of K2 and the flexible possibilities!
We use Moset Tree for a business directory at our site with links to advertizers websites Moset Tree has one special feature we really need: clicking a listing / article in Tree doesn't OPEN it, but redirects the user at once to the site of the given listing. Have a look at
www.bryllup.dk/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=listcats&cat_id=77&Itemid=100695 to see it.
When setting it up in K2, we then add an extra field called "external link", which is then showing the link to the given listing owner/shop.
When clicking the content, it opens the content and it's up to the user to click the external link. We would like to do it like Moset Tree, where clicking the content sends the user to the external link at once.
Can someone tell me if this is possible without hacking K2 ?
If not possible in K2, would the hack be something like this idea:
1. When clicking content
2. If "external field link" is empty, then open the content
3. If "external field link" has valid url, then open this instead of content
