Hello,

I cannot create a category following the simple quick start guide. I get this error:

 Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mb_internal_encoding() in /home/content/t/u/n/tunedin/html/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2category.php on line 49

I am running a Rockettheme Mynxx template on 1.5.15 using the RokTabs ext.

Thanks to another post "community.getk2.org/forum/topics/select-a-template-new-category" that I found out about making a folder called my templates and copy the contents from the default templates folder to this. Then when in the new categories just select my templates in the template drop down menu. I don't know why the default doesn't work but I'll dig into it.

I'm having the same issue using the JS Appbox template.... Only difference is that it is on line 50

Is the changing folders the best solution???

Thank you for the thread.... I do have mb_strings enabled on the server and still having the same issues...
Have been talking to my server provider and they have no clue either..
I'll keep plugging on it but thanks again
